In mid-February, although there is an expected decrease in domestic supply of styrene, the overall supply remains relatively abundant. The main downstream demand experiences a post-holiday recovery increase in the short term, but the spot demand may still be relatively weak. Styrene’s own supply and demand are in a state of broad balance.
Additionally, there has been a recent increase in terminal inventory, which, however, has not yet exerted pressure on the market. Some upstream factories have experienced temporary shutdowns due to malfunctions and anticipate maintenance in March, which could have short-term impacts on the market.
